Apolinario Mabini y Maranan was known as the brains of the Katipunan, he is a national hero, a writer, and a lawyer. 

He is known also as the "Sublime Paralytic" and despite losing his legs due to polio he still achieved so much for our country.

The Order of Augustian Recollects (OAR) was one of the most important religious groups in the Spanish evangelization efforts in the country.

Their evangelism areas are usually with the poorer and far reached areas not desired by the other orders.

Their first parish was in Masinloc, Zambales. Their missions moved to the other provinces like Tarlac, Pampanga, Mindoro, Palawan, Bohol and Negros.
